Sarah Laufer: Founder/Web Dork/Digital Strategist/Yoga Teacher
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Sarah was a professional dancer before she discovered yoga in 1999. Like so many she got into yoga while looking for a way to compliment her dance and outdoor pursuits namely paddling, snowboarding, and cycling. She quickly got addicted to Bikram yoga, but soon felt like she needed more. After a brief hiatus to pursue a law degree in Seattle, Sarah rediscovered yoga through her friend and teachers Kristin Tone and Bridget Evans. This time the connection to yoga and her spiritual practice was much deeper, taking her on a journey she never thought possible. Sarah is the founder and managing editor of www.GoodTigerYoga.com, is a digital strategy consultant, and received her 200YTT certification with Yoga Alliance and studied with Tiffany Cruikshank in Portland, Oregon. Sarah teaches vinyasa flow at different studios around Bend, focusing on building strength, alignment, flow and in general, a practice that is a balanced mix of challenge and awareness for each student.
Sarah is also the former CEO of an commerce start-up Play Outdoors is currently is a freelance digital strategist for Good Tiger Consulting, and Director of Business Development for Cascade Web Development.
Shanan Kelley: Managing Editor/Feature Writer/Marketing Extrodinaire/Philospher/Yoga Teacher
Shanan initially came to yoga in high school when an article in a beauty magazine sparked her interest (long, lean muscles? Yes, please). Once she began practicing regularly and in the studio environment, she realized that the world of yoga was so much more than a toned abdomen. Her first 200 hour teacher certification at Solstice Yoga Center in Oaxaca Mexico exposed her to not only a new style of yoga (Restorative Alignment under Brigitte Longueville) but also to world class pranayama and asana teachers. Almost immediately upon returning home from this experience, Shanan was offered multiple opportunities to teach. The rest, as they say, is history (well, more or less). Shanan has since completed an additional 200 teacher certification under Kat Seltzer’s guidance. She teaches a multitude of studio classes, and leads retreats, workshops, and special events. When Shanan isn’t teaching, she writes, socializes, and makes googoo eyes at her 10 year old Labrador. Shanan is co-founder of Flow-Flow, outdoor yoga adventures combining Vinyasa style yoga flow with Stand Up Paddling, hiking, and snow shoeing. Originally hailing from Seattle, Shanan now proudly calls Bend OR her home. She is completely committed to living a life she loves and desires to assist others on the path to the life they love as well.
